Dennis Thane Allard, 77, beloved husband of M. Margaret French, passed away peacefully in her arms Friday, April 3, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 10 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, 9601 Fossil Ridge Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76135; or Community Hospice of Fort Worth, 1111 Summit Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
Dennis was born in Montana and lived in Loma, Montana, until after high school graduation. He served in the Army for two years. Later, he worked for AT&T for 40 years, and lived in San Jose, California. He happily spent his last 12 years with Margaret in their Fort Worth home. They loved their home, and worked in their yard together.
Dennis loved country music and was a wonderful dancer. He was a fun, sweet guy, generous and hard-working, and was loved by those who knew him.
Words can’t describe how he will be missed.
He is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Margaret French; Margaret’s children, Susie and husband, Mauri, in Venice, Italy, and Sean in Dallas; her two grandchildren; his daughter, Lucinda Held and husband, Gary; his four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren of Washington and Oregon; sister, Dorothy Hodgkins and her family of Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends in Montana, Texas, California and Washington.
