Dennis Totin, 57, of Sachse passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 7 – 11 pm at Millhouse Pizzeria and Stage at 532 Main St, Garland, TX 75040. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
Dennis was born on September 20, 1961 in Manchester, Connecticut to John and Lucille Totin. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. He was a dedicated and valued product verification tester in the computer industry. His work took him around the world including China and Poland.
Dennis was a talented musician and he played guitar in several local rock bands. He loved his animals deeply and he was a registered therapy dog owner. He collected dog stamps from all over the world and had eleven volumes of them.
Dennis was funny, smart, inquisitive, generous, and kind. He was a member of Mensa and the World’s most interesting man. He had many varied collections and was fascinated by astronomy. He was an accomplished photographer who was published, and a ham radio operator. He also enjoyed going to the shooting range and was an accomplished woodworker, who made pens for friends and family.
Dennis is survived by his sister: Eve Totin, brother: Johnny Totin, twin brother: Jerry Totin, brother: Rob Totin, numerous nieces and a nephew, extended family members and a host of friends. He is also survived by his beloved dogs: Einstein and Elsa, and his bird: Zeus.
He lived life to the fullest. He was dearly loved and he will be greatly missed.
