Donald Ralph Czarnecki, 76, of Granbury, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. Memorial service: 10:00 AM, Friday, May 4, 2018, Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Donald was born on February 28, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana to Louis and Genevieve Czarnecki. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked as an electronic technician for the Federal Aviation Administration. He married Sherrill Marie Ketscher on December 15, 1978 in Fairbanks, AK. He was a very loyal husband and always put Sherrill first. While he loved fishing in the ocean, he humored her by going to the mountains. He dearly loved his sons, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandson Sam. He was protective and a wonderful provider.
He liked fishing in the Gulf and boating and fishing on Lake Granbury. When he was in Alaska, he canoed, fished and cut down his own Christmas trees and when he lived in Oklahoma, he had horses. He also liked to practice shooting at George’s. He was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather: Marion S. Kaczmarek and son: Thomas Harp.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Sherill Czarnecki, sons: Randall Czarnecki and wife Ginny, Phillip Czarnecki, and Michael Harp, grandchildren: Ashleigh Czarnecki, Hannah Winslow and husband Jordan, Morgan Czarnecki, Emily Harp, and Ivan Harp, great–grandson: Samson “Sam” Weileman, and brother: Michael Kaczmarek.
