Heep, Donald Frederick

Don Heep, 69, of Weatherford, TX died May 19^th 2018.  Don, son of Albert and Janie Heep, husband of Gale Heep, and father to six sons, was a two-time cancer survivor. He endured many lingering health complications and a long-term neurological condition due to those illnesses. He is survived by his wife Gale, their two sons Nathan and Jonathan, as well as ex-wife Carol, their sons Brian, Scott, and Andrew. He is also survived by brother Bert, and two grandsons, Grant and Dawson. Don’s fourth son, Brandon, passed away in December 2016.

After moving to north Texas from Chicago, Illinois in the late 1970’s, Don made his career in the furniture business. He co-founded and owned a successful office furniture business in the DFW area named Heep & Leonard in the 80’s and 90’s.

His passions were history, music, woodworking, a regular poker game, and traveling. He and wife Gale traveled in a RV to 47 states. He is remembered for his strength, perseverance and determination. He was never limited in ability despite his many health challenges. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Granbury, TX.
