GRANBURY — Donald J. Stembridge, 80 of Granbury, passed away on September 7, 2015 in Granbury.
Service: 3:30 PM, Friday, Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel.
Visitation: 1:00-3:00 Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials: Southside Baptist Church or St. Jude Hospital.
Donald Stembridge was born August 21, 1935 in Wheeler, Texas to Joe Ben Stembridge and Ava Leone Revious Stembridge. He married Mary F. Wylie on May 6, 1961 in Pampa, Texas. Donald was a plumber and retired in 2000 from Lockheed Martin. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He served as Associate Pastor with Bro. Frank Harris. Donald loved to waterski, give lawnmower rides to the grandkids, camping, and he loved his family.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and step father, Brother, Aubrey Stembridge, Sister, Ava Mildred Stembridge and a granddaughter Rachel Michelle Gilliam.
Survived: wife, Mary Wylie Stembridge, Six daughters, Debra Ann Gilliam, Brenda Sue Maggard and her husband Curtis, Regina Gail Smith, Cheryl Kay Coleman, Laquita Dell Royal, and Anita Jo Wilson. Donald had Eleven Grandchildren and Seventeen Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers, Dewayne Stembridge and his wife Lois, Jimmie Stembridge and his wife Lavinia. A number of nieces and nephews.
