Donald L. “D.J. Don” Thompson, 66, a loving husband, father, and friend, passed away Thursday May, 8, 2014.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Biggers Chapel.
Don was born October 2, 1947, in Wellington and had been an area resident for 15 years. He loved all types of music and was a karaoke D.J. at Sam’s Saloon where he had a following known as the karaoke gang. He loved working with his hands, doing carpentry work and working with computers.
The family would like to thank Rodney Maples for the friendship and care he provided Don during his illness.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gloria Thompson; son, Donald Christopher Thompson; stepson, Jacob DeLeon; brother, Jim Thompson; lifelong friend, Dan Minter; numerous nieces and nephews; and faithful campanion, Harley Davidson Thompson.
