GLEN ROSE — Dorothy Jo Loper, age 92, passed away in her home on Monday, August 10, 2015.

Dorothy was born on July 30, 1923 to Fredrick and Elizabeth Stevenson Harrendorf in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Dorothy was a graduate of Central State University in Edmond. She served her country proudly in the United States Army. She was married to Edward Gale Loper. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Dorothy, enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and writing letters.
She loved her Lord Savior and spent a majority of her life promoting mission efforts around the world. It was her heart’s desire for every man, woman, boy and girl to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Fred Loper and Lavada of Oklahoma City and Charlie Loper and Debbie of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughters, Jeanne Ferren of Glen Rose and Mary Birchfield & Delbert of Crescent, OK; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Steve and Earl, and her sister, Betty and her son-in-law, Pastor Brent Ferren.
