Dorothy M. Denison, 94, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, in Granbury.
Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Granbury. Interment: 2:15 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Dorothy was born May 11, 1921, in Johnson City, NY, to Irving and Gladys Hall Groover. She married Arthur R. “Bud” Denison, July 2, 1938, in Endwell, NY. She had lived in Granbury for 25 years and was a member of Granbury First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and helped at the church with Vacation Bible School and after school programs. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the VFW. She enjoyed traveling and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Jeffery.
Survivors: Sons, Rodney Denison and wife, Jan, of Keller, Robert Denison of Deming, NM, David Denison and Steven Singleton of Cathederal City, CA, William Denison and wife, Morgan, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sister, Betty Herrington of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews
