Drew Thomas Jennings, 35, of Arlington died peacefully in his sleep as the sun came up on February 3, 2021. Drew was born on September 2, 1985 in Bedford to parents Arthur Jennings (deceased) and Cathy Wooley (previously Jennings). Drew was a spunky, energetic kid who grew up to be a well-loved adult.
Drew met his wife, Kristyl Jennings, in 2011 while working together at Papa Johns in Fort Worth. After some shameless flirting, they began dating in 2011 and were married in 2014. In March of 2018, Drew was diagnosed with Stage IV Ewings Sarcoma. He fought strong and hard for 3 years winning two out of three rounds of this beast. Throughout his journey, he touched the lives of so many people through different organizations. First Descents and the Adaptive Training Foundation gave him back a part of him cancer tried to take away. He loved making a difference in the people he came into contact with that later became part of his extended family. He loved talking sports, video games and tattoos with anyone that would listen. But above all, he loved God and his wife.
Drew was preceded in death by his father Arthur Jennings, grandparents T.J and Wanda Cunningham, and his uncle Jeff Cunningham.
He is survived by his wife, Kristyl Blair Jennings; mother and step-dad, Charles and Cathy Wooley; step-brother and wife, Shawn and Kelly Wooley; step-sister and husband, Michelle and Kyle Esco; step-sister and husband Marisa and Collin McCormick.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 8, 2021 in the Wiley Funeral Home Chapel of Granbury. Private graveside services and burial for the family will be held prior to services at Acton Cemetery.
