Ed Morrison, 70, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019. Graveside service: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2019, Hurst Ranch Cemetery, Goldthwaite.
Ed was born on February 24, 1949 in Long Island, New York to Edward Thomas Morrison Sr. and Mary Theresa Morrison. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Syracuse. He liked working with his hands on anything mechanical and anything to do with HVAC.
Ed married Sherri Combs on November 17, 1984 in Belton, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Ed loved flying and was a private pilot. He also loved being out on the water boating. He was a member of Southern Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and sister: Noreen M. Dibiase.
Ed is survived by his wife: Sherri Morrison, children: Lorie Morrison Gaffney and husband Damon, Ryan Morrison and wife Shelby, Mark Morrison and wife McKayla, Julie Elmore and husband David, Doyle Morrison and wife Courtney, Mary Ervin and husband Andrew, and Charlotte Morrison, 16 grandchildren, siblings: Kevin Morrison, Deanin Morrison, and Sharon Morrison Zalinger and spouses, and loving nieces, nephews, and their spouses and children.

I remember Ed well. We use to car pool home to Long Island on weekends in his big white Pontiac Bonneville convertible. He was quite the character and a pleasure to be around. Looking at the funeral home locations in Texas, Granbury & Glen Rose, I worked in Glen Rose for 3 years when they were building the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant, and lived in Granbury. I would imagine that Ed and family lived in that vicinity. Who new, we could of gotten in touch. So close yet so far. I am deeply saddened to here he has pasted and my condolences to his family. I was hoping he might show up to a Fox reunion. I also remember Ed was dating a lovely young lady Naval Officer from Texas. I don't remember her name. Since he lived in Texas, I'm assuming he married that young lady. I remember driving in Ed's Pontiac with this young lady down West side Highway in Manhattan past Grants Tomb.
