GRANBURY — Edna Dee Stembridge, 79, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, in Mesquite.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home. Interment: Granbury Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Edna was born Feb. 4, 1935, in Granbury, to Dee and Florence Thompson Hopper. She married James “Oscar” Stembridge on Sept. 27, 1955, in Fort Worth. She was a lifelong resident of Granbury and a member of First Assembly of God Church. Edna retired from J-Mart convenience store. She enjoyed traveling, shopping at Sears and Vikon Village.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Eldon and Floyd; brother, Lloyd; and sisters, Maybelle, Virginia and Gladys.
Survivors: Sons, Larry Stembridge and wife, Mary Alice, of Sunnyvale and Mike Stembridge and wife, Kathy, of Fort Worth; daughter, Sue Bearden and Linda of Garland; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Stembridge of Mesquite; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Floyd Hopper and wife, Glenda, Jackie Hopper and wife, Shirley, and Calvin Hopper and wife, Terri, all of Granbury; sister, Ruth Ward of Granbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.
