Edna “Lucille” Berryman

Edna Lucille Berryman, age 81, of Granbury, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2019 in Granbury.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Martin’s Funeral Home, 100 S. Morgan St., Granbury, Texas 76048.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Martins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Grand Prairie, Texas 75211. Arrangements are by Martins Funeral Home.

Edna, known as Lucille by most of her friends and family, was born in Stephenville, Texas to Edward and Mattie Phelps on June 17, 1938. She married Gene Edward Berryman on July 2, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a homemaker and provided in-home child care for many years of her life and enjoyed caring for all of her “little blessings”.

Edna enjoyed cooking, fishing and gardening. She had a very green thumb and enjoyed caring for all of her flowers and plants. As a military spouse she had the opportunity to travel outside of Texas and lived in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Montana and Singapore.

Edna is preceded in death by husband, Gene Edward Berryman, parents Willie Edward Phelps and Mattie Mae (Cogdill) Phelps, brothers, Willie L. Phelps, Charles H. Phelps and Stanley G. Phelps and sister, Lucy Katherine Marsh, son-in-law Marcus Anderson.

Edna is survived by son Ronald and wife Michele of Granbury, daughter Wanda Anderson of Cleburne, son Russell and wife Christine of Houston, sisters Georgia Forest and Rosalee Henley and brother John R. Phelps, nine grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.
