Edna Marie Groezinger Reddick, 91, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of the Holy Apostles, 3900 Longvue Ave., Fort Worth. Interment will be at 4 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery, at FM 84 and FM 91, Denison. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave., Lake Worth.
Memorial gifts may be made to Church of the Holy Apostles of Fort Worth, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Denison, St. Paul Episcopal Church of Waxahachie or a charity of choice.
Edna was born March 25, 1923, in Denison. She graduated as valedictorian from Denison High School and summa cum laude from Texas Woman’s University, (formerly Texas State College for Women). After college, she worked for Humble Oil Company in Tyler, Texas, and later married Elmo Earl (Moe) Reddick, who preceded her in death in 2000. Edna and Moe resided in Denison for many years where they owned Reddick Jewelry and raised 4 children. Edna was also an accomplished church organist and a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church. In later years, she resided in Fort Worth and attended Church of the Holy Apostles, Fort Worth.
Her survivors include her children J. Rex Reddick and wife, Ginger, of Denison, Sharon Reddick Smith and husband, Ron, of Waxahachie, Jane Reddick Monahan and husband, Jim, of Fort Worth, and Debbie Reddick of Fort Worth; She is also survived by grandchildren Gabe and Amy Smith of Garland, Jessica and Chris Gatlin of Denison, Roxanne and Scott Sanders of Whitesboro, Savanna Smith of Waxahachie, and Ryan Monahan of Houston; and great-grandchildren Malcolm, Coraline, and Aislin Smith and Riley Sanders.
