Edward “Buddy” Lee Bumgardner, age 80, of Tolar, Texas passed away on Sunday April 21, 2019. Inurnment: 11:00 AM, Friday, June 14, 2019, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Edward was born in Chauncey, West Virginia on February 6, 1939 to Harry Lee Bumgardner and Bernice Blevins Bumgardner. Edward was a loving son, father and grandfather. He loved his family, his animals and traveling. Edward proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry Bumgardner and Bernice Minton; daughter: Tina Bumgardner; grandsons: Bradley and Jeremy Whitefield.

Edward is survived by his children: Craig Bumgardner, Melody Shipman and husband Gary, Susan Bumgardner; grandchildren: Elizabeth White and husband Cory, Brittany Wood and husband Jon, Heather Bumgardner; great-grandchildren: Brayden and Brooklynn White, Rodolfo Valdez and step- granddaughter Shaylee Guerrero; siblings: Donna Ehrlich and husband Leo, Betty Priestley; and numerous nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the homeless shelter of choice.
