Edward “El Borricua“ Martinez, 52, beloved husband and father, of Granbury, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in Granbury.

 

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, in Granbury.  Burial will be private.

 

Edward was born on July 28, 1969, in New York City, New York to Carlos and Hipolita Martinez.  He married Maria Guadarrama on February 4, 1995, and together had two children, Leizliann and Edward Martinez. Edward had an Associates Degree in Industrial Mechanical Engineering and worked mostly an an automobile mechanic.  Most of all, Edward cherished time spent with his family.

 

Edward is survived by his wife, Maria; his beloved children, Leizliann and Edward Martinez; his mother, Hipolita Martinez; his brother, Lenny Martinez; and by his sister, Carolyn Martinez.

 

Edward was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Martinez.
