Committal with military honors: 1 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Lockhart Municipal Burial Park, 600 N. Colorado St. in Lockhart, TX.

Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Edward Rudolph Nolte was born May 29, 1933 in Lockhart, Texas to Edwin and Ella Nolte. He graduated from Lockhart High School in 1951 and continued his education by attending Texas A & M. There was a pause in his education to serve in the United States Army for two years.  He returned to A & M to earn his degree in electrical engineering, graduating with the class of 1955.

On June 14, 1958, “a special day”, Edward Rudolph Nolte and Audrey Lou Doeppenschmidt were married in New Braunfels; a union that has lasted 62 years. He was employed by Chance Vaught Aircraft in Dallas and later moved to Sacramento, California where he worked for Aerojet General. They later returned to Fort Worth where he was employed until retirement from General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Audrey; children, Jeanice Beeson and husband, Jeffrey, Timothy Nolte and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Darby and Dylan Beeson, Isabel, Andrew and Jacob Nolte.
