Elaine was born April 19, 1936 in Maywood, California to James S. and Inez Hawkins.
Survivors: husband of 50 plus years, James R. Mayes, son Stephen D. Mayes and wife Cheri; grandson, Brian Michael and wife Crystal Mayes; great-granddaughter, Alia and nieces and nephews.
