Emil Charles “Chuck” Haury Sr., retired United States Air Force (USAF), Technical Sergeant, peacefully passed to our Lord after a lengthy battle with multiple health conditions on Monday, February 7, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be at 10:15 a.m., Monday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Chuck was born June 9, 1939 in Oklahoma. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1956. After a two-year tour, he joined the USAF in 1958 and retired in 1986.
He married his wife, Carolyn April Lockett on November 9, 1977 in Plattsburgh, New York. He and April decided to retire and move to Azle in 1979.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn A. Lockett, and a grandson, Lloyd Keke’a Haury.
Survivors include his son, Emil C. Haury Jr.; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth J. Haury; grandchildren, Breann Brigida Waller, Kayla Puake’amailani Rodrigues, Noah Lloyd Keke’a Rodrigues, Autumn Ke’ala Waller; and his dearest friend and mother-in-law, June Lockett.
