Eric A. Ortega, 34, a maintenance supervisor for Milestone Management, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Eric was born February 1, 1980, in Abilene. He had been an area resident since 1992 and was a 1998 graduate of Boswell High School. He loved being outdoors grilling with his family, hunting and fishing.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandmother, Isidora Guerrero.

Eric is survived by his wife, Misti Ortega; children, Sierra, Cheyenne, Chloe, Tanner, MaKayla, Isaiah, Noah, Coby and Makenzie; parents, Valerie and Steve Rodriguez; granddaughter, Nevaeh Rodriguez; grandparents, Euligo Guerrero and Ben and Eleuteria Ortega; brothers, Gabriel Builtron and Ricky Ortega; sisters, Erica and Melissa Ortega; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
