Ernest Clifford (EC) Brock Jr., 73, of Tolar (Justin) passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017.
EC left a legacy of love for all that knew him. He spent his early years building metal buildings, playing semi pro volleyball and fast pitch softball. He coached little league baseball and girls softball. He taught school for 25 years at Northwest ISD.
EC was a member of NTHSRA for 40plus years, he picked up broncs for over 35 years, hauled bulldogging horses and hazed for hundreds of up and coming rodeo stars. He served eight years as a Board of Director, two of which he served as President. His favorite saying was, “The most important things in life are family, good friends and great horses, and not necessarily in that order.”
EC is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Lela Brock, and one sister Stella Sparks.
EC leaves behind his loving bride of 53 years, Linda Smith Brock, four children, Brenda Moe and husband Mike, Sandy Smith, Les Brock and wife Rilla, Kelly Pickens and husband Scott, nine grandchildren, Melinda Nolen (Chase), Buck Mattern, Emily Matlock (Colton), Kristin Smith, Taylor Brock, Bailey Brock, Raelynn Brock, Les Brock Jr. (Bub), Lela Pickens, 12 great grandchildren, three sisters, Vertalee Coleman and husband John, Ellen Lovett, and Jean Morrow, and numerous nieces, nephews and adoptees.
Visitation: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Thursday, May 11, 2017, Triple Cross Cowboy Church, Granbury, Texas
Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2017, Triple Cross Cowboy Church, Granbury, Texas
Interment: Bluebonnet Cemetery, Colleyville, Texas
