KILLEEN — Ester Marie Powell Holt, 94, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, Harker Heights, Texas.
Graveside service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Holly Hills Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Killeen.
Mrs. Holt was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Kinta, Okla., to W.H. and Gertrude Ford Powell. She married James Holt, Jan. 4, 1941, in McAlester, Okla. and he preceded her in death in 2007. She was a member of Granbury First Baptist Church for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Killeen at the time of her death. She lived in Fort Worth for many years and was a school teacher in the White Settlement ISD. After retirement she moved to Granbury until 2005 when she moved to Killeen. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a son-in-law, Pat McDonald.
Survivors: Daughter, Brenda McDonald of Harker Heights; sisters, Louise Reasoner and Yvonne Joplin, both of Okla.; grandchildren, Shelley Christian and husband, John, Coleman McDonald and wife, Amanda; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
