Eugene Carl King, 74, of Granbury, Texas, passed away on Friday October 12, 2018. No services are planned at the time.

Eugene was born on August 5, 1944 in Kewanee, Illinois, to Mr. and Mrs. Cecil King. Eugene was a loving father and grandfather. He appreciated getting to spend his last four years surrounded by his family in Granbury. He loved going to the zoo with his grandchildren. Eugene never met a stranger, and was always so happy. He was a huge animal lover; especially cats and lions. Eugene loved good food, going to the casino, the Patriots football team and he was an avid golfer. Eugene was a hard worker and worked every day. He was an active member of Stonewater Church. Eugene was preceded in death by his: parents and one sister.

Eugene is survived by his daughters: Gina Melvin and husband Joshua, Tonya Frakes and husband Randy; grandchildren: Malikah Melvin, Nickolas Melvin, Katie Smith and husband Shannon, Taylor Frakes; great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Connor; and sister: Joy.
