GRANBURY — Eva Cathey, 81, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, in Granbury.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Granbury First Baptist Church. Burial: Granbury Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Grace Hospice or First Baptist Church in Granbury.
Mrs. Cathey was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Fort Worth, to George Loyd Jackson and Gertrude Williams Jackson. She married Ray Cathey, June 24, 1950, in Fort Worth. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Granbury and the Junior Woman’s Club. She enjoyed caring for small children and loved traveling with her granddaughters. Eva was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Julie Cathey in 1966.
Survivors: Husband, Ray Cathey of Granbury; son, Allan Cathey and wife, Lori, of Granbury; daughters, Katie Cathey of Houston, Amy Cathey of College Station; sister-in-law, Mary Wein of Fort Worth; niece, Vicki Gonzales and husband, Robert, of Mansfield.
