Fort Worth – Evelyn Eileen Blase, 92, passed away on January 19, 2019 in Keller.
Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave, Lake Worth. Interment will be in Hamel, Illinois.
Eileen was born June 22, 1926 in Litchfield, Illinois to Malcolm Ritchie Armstrong and Minnie Evelyn Sybert Armstrong. She graduated from Litchfield High School. She married Harold Louis Edward Blase on December 25, 1952 in Hamel, Illinois. After years of military travel, Harold and Eileen built their dream home and settled in Hamel, IL to raise their 4 children. They were long time members of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Eileen worked at Hamel State Bank, was Assistant Postmaster at Hamel Post Office, and was a secretary at 3M National Advertising for many years. Retiring in Azle, TX, they were active members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In later years, they moved near Keller, TX and were members at Messiah Lutheran Church in Keller. Harold and Eileen loved to travel, garden, and play cards! Eileen enjoyed hobbies of cooking, sewing, and needlework! She was known for her holiday traditions. Both were very active in community and church.

Survived: Children; Rod Blase, Ed Blasé, Patty Blase Opert, Bill Blase and his wife Beverly. Grandchildren; Sara Homer, Shelley Duncan, Lindsey Brown, Michael Blase, Ben Blase, Stacia Weiss, and Troy Blase. She has four great grandchildren.
