Frank James Baker
GRANBURY — Frank James Baker, 71, entered eternal life with Jesus on Friday, April 4, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Granbury. Interment: Thorp Spring Cemetery in Granbury. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
His pallbearers: Clayton Barnes, Brian Hogue, Dylan Durgin, Paul Birkholz, Johnny Mitchell and Rickey Mitchell.
Frank was born May 20, 1942, in Stephenville. He married Betty Leona Cox, the love of his life, on Dec. 18, 1956. They raised three daughters in Fort Worth before moving to Granbury, where he resided for over 32 years, before his passing. He was a member of the Deer Creek Masonic Lodge 510 in Fort Worth. Frank was a welder by trade and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 146 since 1975.
His smile brightened the days of many, like no one else’s could. His legacy for the love of God, family, friends and life, will forever live on in all who knew him.
Frank was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Jason, and a sister, Tillie.
Survivors: His wife of 57 years, Betty, whom he affectionately called “BettyLee,” of Granbury; daughters, Theda Susan Briggs and son-in-law, Donald, of Joshua, Rejeana Barnes of Venus and Diana Baker Penkala of Alvarado; grandchildren, Christina Briggs of Joshua, Amber Hogue and husband, Brian, Laura Jeffrey, Clayton Barnes and wife, Chelsea, Heather Briggs and fiance’, Paul Birkholtz, and Katheryn Penkala; seven great-grandchildren.
