GLEN ROSE — Franklin “Frank” Laramore, 75, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 27, 2016.
Service: 10 a.m. Saturday April 30, 2016, at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Glen Rose.
Interment: Squaw Creek Cemetery, Glen Rose.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Wiley Funeral Home.
Frank was born in Cleburne on Dec. 20, 1940, to Homer and Rachel Laramore. He married Linda Manasco on June 3, 1960. Frank and Linda with their three children moved to Glen Rose in 1969 where he became city marshal in 1970, then was elected sheriff of Somervell County in 1972. He served as sheriff until 1988. He then took up the hobby of being an avid chuck wagon cook, refurbisher and competitor in many states. He was an antique and junk collector of farm equipment. He also loved to hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sonya Lynn Laramore; and his son, Homer Kevin Laramore.
Survivors: Wife, Linda Mildred Manasco Laramore; sisters, Betty Sparks and Barbara Laramore; daughter, Delaine Booker and husband, Kelly; son, Jeff Laramore and wife, Charlotte; grandchildren, Sonya King, Kurt Pullen Jr., Shena Gaddis, J.T. Laramore and Halle Laramore; and great-grandchildren, Remy Gaddis, Kylie Gaddis and Kort King.
