Freddie Lee Bleck

GRANBURY — Freddie Lee Bleck, 90, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Interment: Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Fred was born April 25, 1925, the youngest of ten children, born in McQueeney, Texas to Frank and Ida Woelke Bleck. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he attended the University of Texas and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He spent his career working for Texas Electric in various locations including Ranger, Odessa and Fort Worth.

Fred was associated with many service organizations including American Legion, Salvation Army, Methodist Church, Toastmasters, Republican Party, Professional Engineer and life member of Texas EXES. Fred moved to Granbury for his retirement years where he enjoyed family and friends. He had great love for playing bridge, card games and home projects.  Fred is preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Bleck.

Survivors: Wife of six years, Mary Hefter Bleck; brother, Vernon Bleck of New Braunfels; daughters, Connie Bleck of Santa Fe and Rhonda and husband, Jack Aulick of Cypress; son, Terry and wife, Lynn Bleck of Overland Park; grandchildren, Whitney Casey of Dubai and Kathryn Bleck of Kansas City; and great grandchildren, Cooper, Stella and Gray Casey of Dubai.
