George Milton Conover, 83, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013, at his home.
The family will receive friends noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home followed by a reception at the family home.
George Milton Conover was born September 6, 1929, in Devine. He married Winola Colette Smith on January 23, 1949, in Gainesville. They have lived in the Fort Worth area for over 60 years.
Mr. Conover worked as a tool and die maker and designer for General Dynamics, Conally Tool Manufacturing in Dallas and started Conover Tool Manufacturing Co. in the late 1970s until his retirement in 2000. Mr. and Mrs. Conover were members of Diamond Hill Baptist Church for many years. A son, Aubrey Dean Conover, preceded him in death on April 21, 2009.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Winola Smith Conover; children, Larry M. Conover and wife, Sandra, of North Richland Hills, Kathy C. Taylor and husband, Bill, of Pearsall; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
