Gerald Junior Stewart died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 1, 2015 after several years of debilitating illnesses. May he rest in peace.
Gerald was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. His family and friends are what he cherished most along with his dog of 16 years, Smokee Jo. Although Gerald had not been able to enjoy his hobbies of fishing, gardening, mechanics and tinkering in recent years he leaves behind many great memories involving those pastimes including a long-standing family joke involving “going to town for auto parts” that continues to be a part of several generations lives.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Glen Rose, TX and was well attended by family members and friends who enjoyed reminiscing together.
The Stewart family acknowledges and thanks all of those that have helped care for Gerald in recent times. Your compassion and generosity was appreciated by Gerald and his family. Although Gerald will continue to be missed and many of us are left grieving, our hope is that Gerald is now free of earthly agonies and is comfortable and enjoying time with those that have gone on before including a grandchild, parents and parent-in-laws, brothers and many other family members and friends.
Gerald will continue to be loved and to be an important part of many lives.
