On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Gina L Franklin, loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother of three passed away at the age of 54.

Gina was born in Hollywood, CA to Gordan MacLeod and Saima Delbosque. She grew up in Rockwall, TX with her parents and older sister, Vicky Longi. Gina graduated from Lake Hill high school before attending Occidental College. She moved to Johannesburg, South Africa with her first husband and raised three beloved children, Mikah, Ayesha, and Yusuf. Gina spent many years as a loving homemaker before starting her career. A coffee enthusiast, Gina took over a tiny coffee shop in downtown Johannesburg before renovating it into both a coffee shop and pizzeria. As a budding entrepreneur, Gina went on to own two other restaurants, naming one after her three children. She worked passionately to build these businesses before immigrating back to Texas with her family.
Back in the US, Gina became a realtor and flipped homes before returning to her love of service as a bank associate. Her clients and colleagues gravitated to her energetic personality. Gina found a kindred soul in Tommy Franklin, and they were married in 2021. Above all else, Gina lived for her family and poured her heart into raising her three children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon MacLeod.
Gina is survived by her mother, Saima Mattsson; father-in-law, Robert Delbosque; sister, husband, and three children. May her kindness, enthusiasm, and positivity live on through them.
