GRANBURY — Glynn Evelyn Van Zandt, 82, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, in Granbury.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Granbury First Baptist Church. Burial: Granbury Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Hood County Library or Granbury First Baptist Church, Library Fund.
Glynn was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Glen Rose, to James Wray Van Zandt and Lena Evelyn Dunaway Van Zandt. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Glory Singers Choir. Glynn helped start the Hood County Library and served on the board of directors. She was a member of the Granbury High School Ex-Student Association and was the Coming Home Queen in 1999. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother, Bob Van Zandt, and sister-in-law, Mary Van Zandt.
Survivors: Brother, Bill Van Zandt and wife, Betty, of Burleson; sister-in-law, Judy Van Zandt; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Brannon and husband, Benny, of Granbury; Wray Van Zandt and wife, Shelly, of Bossier City, Michelle Yarborough and husband, Clay, of Weatherford, Brad Van Zandt and wife, Valerie, of Paragould, Ark.; great nieces and nephews, Robert, Terah, Stuart, Sarah, Katy, Laura, James, Reagan, Jordan; great great nieces and nephews, Bryce, Zachary, Andrew, Elizabeth; and loving family.
