LIPAN — Grace E. Wyly Tarpley, 79, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, in Dallas.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Lipan First Baptist Church. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Chapel in Lipan.
Grace was born Apr. 8, 1935, in Stephenville, to Lewis Judson Wyly and Verna Carey Wyly. She married Melvin Tarpley, May 31, 1953, in Selden, Texas. She had lived in Lipan since 1960 and was a member of Lipan First Baptist Church. Grace enjoyed giving piano lessons, traveling and camping.
Survivors: Husband, Melvin Tarpley of Lipan; sons, Melvin Dwayne Tarpley and wife JoAnn, of Lipan, Leland Tarpley and wife, Trena, of Brock; daughter, Evelyn McWilliams and husband, Garland, of Granbury; grandchildren and spouses, Chris and Bethany Tarpley, Steve and LeeAnn Tarpley, Jennifer and Chase Lewis, Phillip and Amanda Tarpley, Walker and Katelyn McWilliams, Shelly McWilliams, Christy McWilliams; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Marvin Wyly and wife, Margot; sisters, Nancy Hise, Joyce Davis, Peggy Morris and husband, Gary, Judy Wyly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
