GRANBURY — Gregory S. Vogl, 79, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, in Granbury.
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 11, 2013, at Holly Hills Memorial Park. Memorial service: A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Granbury Church of Christ.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Community Service Center at Granbury Church of Christ.
Gregory was born Sept. 13, 1933, in New York City, N.Y., to Gregor Johann Vogl and Rose Zitko Vogl. He married Evelyn Lester, Nov. 4, 1958, in Plymouth, Fla. He had been a resident of Granbury since 2000 and was a member of Granbury Church of Christ. Gregory retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service. He earned his Masters Degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He worked for Pike’s Peak Distributors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and model trains. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Marie Vogl of Granbury; sons, Craig Harley Vogl and wife, Susan, of North Richland Hills, Stephan Alton Vogl and wife, Treva, of Casper, Wyo.; granddaughter, Kristen Jones and husband Grady; grandsons, A.J. Vogl, Justin Vogl, Brian Vogl, Weston Vogl, Matthew Vogl and Zachary Vogl.
