Jaunelle was born on August 2, 1932 in Thorp Spring, Texas to Joel and Pauline Rodgers. She married James Edward Gregory on October 8, 1947 in Acton, Texas. She followed her husband’s baseball career. She was a wonderful cook and she sewed all of her kid’s clothes as they grew. She liked camping with her family and family events. She especially enjoyed rocking her grandchildren.
She worked at dress factories on the square and retired from the medical records department at the hospital. She liked visiting with friends with a good cup of coffee on the patio. She enjoyed playing 42, Canasta, and playing with her dogs Jessie and Kelsey and her two cats. She was a member of the Church on Thistle Ridge. Jaunelle was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter Carrie Porter, one brother and one sister.
Jaunelle is survived by her daughters: Jamye Porter and husband Marvin, Janice Turner and husband Gary, and Joyce Brush and husband James, grandchildren: Matthew Porter, Sarah Bailey and husband Joel, Katie Pyles, Cassie Huisman and husband Don, Betsie Hoefner and husband John, and six great-grandchildren.
