GRANBURY — Henry D. “Don” Herring, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Fort Worth.
Celebration of Life Service: Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2 pm at Western Hills Baptist Church, 507 Western Hills Trail, Granbury, Texas 76049.

Henry was born April 28, 1937 in Fairy, TX to A.D. “Red” and Freda Giese Herring. He married Myra Faye Paramore on Aug. 16, 1974 in Grand Prairie. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1954 to 1958 and retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. Henry had been a Granbury resident since 1985 and was a member of Western Hills Baptist Church in Granbury. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, a son Thomas Glenn, and a brother, Jody Herring.
Survivors: Wife, Myra Faye Herring of Granbury; sons, Leonard Herring and wife, Sandy of Grand Prairie, Richard Herring and wife, Becky of Grand Prairie and Craig Paramore and wife, Kristi of Sachse; daughters, Donna Amador of Granbury and Lynn Elliott and husband, Clarence of Carrollton; grandchildren, Ricky Herring, Justin Herring, Kyle Herring, Caitlin Elliott, Alex Amador and Maddi Paramore; brother, Kenneth Herring and wife, Nell of Buda; sister, Joyce Dee Benham and husband, Jim of Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.
