Jordyn Placide is one of my best friends and I am so blessed that she introduced me to such an amazing human being. I always enjoyed being around Howard because he made me laugh constantly and we always had a great time together. Howard felt like a father figure to me because of the great advice and wisdom he would share with me every time I was with him. Howard was one of the most authentic and genuine people I knew and that is what I loved most about him. He was never afraid to tell you what he felt about a certain situation. My love and prayers go out to Kat, Jordyn, and the rest of the Placide family. Howard will always have a special place in my heart and I will remember him, always and forever. Love you all <3

Howard was close friend growing up. He was one of the posse and the first of us to be eternal. Howard was always smiling and never down. That's how I remember him. This is extremely hard for me so I can't begin to imagine how it must be for his family. My sincere condolences go out to you. Howard was an old friend and good person. I will miss him.

I got to know Howard when he came to work for me at Marathon Oil Co in south Texas. He was one of the most professional, polite and kind person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We had many talks about the Bible, our Lord and his savior Jesus Christ. He was dependable, honest and straight talking, you never had any doubt where he stood on an issue. He will be missed greatly.

My fondest memory of Howard was his beautiful eyes and smile as a child. The next time I got to see him was when he got stationed at Travis AFB, and came to spend the day with me. Son of my best friend, you were a kind soul, you will be missed dearly by all who loved you.
