GLEN ROSE — Ida “Ikie” Branham, 83, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016, in Glen Rose.
Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Glen Rose.
Ida was born on October 12, 1932 in Mirando City, Texas to Lester and Goldie Manson. She married Jimmy Branham and owned Ikie’s Place in Glen Rose. She liked going to WinStar Casino and loved to cook all of the time. She enjoyed bird and squirrel watching from her window. At the age of 77 she floated the Frio River with her great niece, Tara and loved every minute of it. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons, Rickie and Mike Wallace.
Survivors: Son, Doug and Kristy Wallace; daughters, Beverly and Joel Wood and Misty and Shane Yell; 11 grandchildren, Jason Wallace, Tamra & John Rich, Chris and Rendon Wood, Brittany Wallace, Toya & Clint Davis, Kaylynn Bass, Keasha Marquis, Kloe Yell, Kasey Yell, Zach and Chelsea Yell and Trace Yell; 8 great grandchildren and one on the way; brothers and sisters, Henrietta Wilber, Lee Nora and Pat Jagger, Emma Lee and Fred Baccus, Lester Lee Manson and Judith; brother-in-law, Travis and Linda Branham, sister-in-law, Ann Nail; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ikie was one of a kind. She gave so much and took so little. I am thankful for the great memories with her especially at the casinos, game rooms and frio trip. I couldn't believe when she said she wanted to float the frio that day with all us "young" girls. It was a two hour float and she laughed so much and enjoyed it so much. Thanks for the memories! We will miss you!
