Ila Mae Oringderff, age 90, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019. Ila Mae, better known as “Granny” to anyone that knew her, is now reunited with her dearly loved husband, Shelton D. Oringderff, and son, Billy Dean Oringderff.
She was the beloved mother of Shelton Lynn Oringderff, Rebecca Ann Ford, Dana Kay Chase, and Patrick Shane Oringderff, and proud grandmother of Gena Grooms, Michelle Kerr, Dean Oringderff, Doug Brown, Stephanie Oringderff, Amanda Rosales, Jennifer Olson, Felicia Brown, Timothy Oringderff, Thomas Oringderff and Carey-Ann Oringderff, who passed in 1987. She also leaves behind 22 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Granny loved to crochet, do crosswords and jigsaw puzzles, garden, watch game shows, and play marbles. Most of all, she loved her family and just enjoyed all the time she had with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Granny was the toughest, strongest woman. She had a hard life and overcame innumerable obstacles, but her indomitable spirit encouraged her family and friends to persist in the face of any struggle. Even in her darkest moments, she persisted. Granny leaves behind cherished memories, treasured antics with her grandchildren, and an irreplaceable love in her children.
