GRANBURY — Irene “Sis” Reed, 88, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 8, 2014, in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 12, 2014, at Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Wounded Warrior Project.
Mrs. Reed was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Granbury, to Charlie Cullen Knight and Mattie Bell Smethers Knight. She married Wallace Edward Reed in 1956 in Fort Worth. Irene helped her husband on his milk truck. She loved to play bingo and cherished her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and her loving brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Children, Sue Sanders and husband, Windell, Wallace Reed, Jr. and wife, Linda, Betty Scott and husband, Alvin; grandchildren, Windell Sanders, Jr., Sonya Lee, Ricky Sanders, Sheri Whitehead, Shana Garrett, Angela Darnell, Jason Reed, Mikel Scott, Stephanie Cox; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Charlsa Carroll; brother, Joe “Butch” Knight; sisters-in-law, Mary Knight, Faye Knight; and numerous nieces and nephews.
