Granbury — Irene Wood Cooper, age 92, of Granbury passed away on September 9, 2015, in Keller, Texas.
Graveside service: 1:00 P.M., Friday at Granbury Cemetery.
Visitation: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 P.M., Friday, at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Irene was born on September 16, 1922 to William Andrew Wood and Oda Belle Wilson in Wellington, Texas. She married W. C. Cooper on September 24, 1990 in Love County, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 999 in Fort Worth for over 25 years.
Survivors: sister, Joy Biggs of N. Richland Hills and Darlene Shue of Cleburne; granddaughter, Valerie Henley; four grandsons, Jerry Cunningham, Glen Shoecraft, Wesley Shoecraft and David Eaton; 8 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren;16 living nieces and nephews; and son-in-law, Leroy Shoecraft.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Roland L. Collins; daughters, Gwen E. Mills and Joyce Perry; brother, Marvin R. Wood; and sisters, Vera Housewright and Roberta Ward.
