Iretha Layland, 74, passed away on December 30, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am January 5, 2021 at Wiley Funeral Home.

Iretha was born on May 26, 1946 in Dumas, Texas to Johnny and Marie Willingham. She never met a stranger or passed judgement. She loved and accepted everyone, and everyone is her favorite. You never left without a hug and an I love you and a full belly. Iretha was everyone’s mom and nanny. Iretha was a school bus driver with Granbury ISD.

 

Iretha is preceded in death by her mother: Marie Bell Walker; father: Johnny Willingham; sister: Bonnie Holden; brothers: Darrell Willingham and Johnny Ray Willinham; husband Robert Layland; and daughter Mary Collins.

 

Iretha is survived by her brother: James Willingham; sons: Johnny Walker (Pam), Bobby Layland, Jimmy Layland (Pauline); daughters: Sherrie Rowe, Cindy Owens, Connie Pless, Lisa Michelle Billingsley (Duane), Clennie James (Darren), and Crystal Layland-Friend (Nathanael); 36 Grandchildren; 28 Great grandchildren; 1 Great Great grandchild.
