GRANBURY — Iris June Hiatt, 91, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, in Granbury.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Iris was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Sullivan County, Indiana, to Fred Orvil Herndon and Hazel Lambert Herndon. She was a member of the Avon Methodist Church in Indiana. Iris was the best cook in the county and her pies were famous. The family worked the farm together until they sold it in the late 1990’s and moved to town.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Paul Hiatt, brother, Kermit Herndon and sister, Phyllis Smith.
Survivors: Children, Judy Dulick and husband, Harry, Bob Hiatt and wife, Linda, Jim Hiatt and wife, Sally; grandchildren, Amber Witte and husband, Mike, Jeff Hiatt, Lari Hiatt, Jason Hiatt and wife, Ashley, Deedee Babcock and husband, Chris; and eight great grandchildren.
