Iva Nell Calvert- Thomas-Thompson- Townley

Iva Nell Calvert-Thomas-Thompson-Townley, 93, of Granbury, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 21, 2019, Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene, Visitation: 5:00 PM -7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose.

Iva was born on October 30, 1925 in Truby, Texas to Floyd and Bertie Calvert. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Iva was a wonderful seamstress and taught her three daughters to sew for themselves. She loved sewing for her girls and granddaughters. She loved crocheting, cooking, and travelling. She loved working in her yard and tending her flowers.

Iva loved Jesus and served Him her whole life, wholeheartedly and faithfully. She was very active in each church she was in. She was a member of Vine Life Tabernacle in Glen Rose.
Iva married Ray Thomas on March 24, 1942 in Roswell, New Mexico. He died on June 21, 1971. She married Royal (Burr-head) Thompson on December 7, 1971. He died on November 30, 1999. She married Oven Townley in Cleburne, Texas on October 7, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law: Charles Worlow, siblings: Bertie Akin, Mary S. Brighton and George A. Calvert.

Iva is survived by her husband: Oven Townley of Granbury, daughters: Janit N. Smith and husband Louis of Tolar, Joyce D. Worlow of Cleburne, and Belinda J. Thomas of Abilene, seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, siblings: Jackie Calvert, Bill D. Calvert, Jim Calvert and Wanda Malone.
