Graveside Service

Jack Carroll Oney passed away on January 30, 2021 at the age of 88, in a medical care facility in Weatherford, Texas. His battle with serious medical issues in years showed his courage in facing life challenges.

 

Graveside service with military honors: 9 a.m. Friday February 26, 2021 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

 

Jack was born in Marshall, TX and spent the majority of his life residing in Fort Worth, TX.  Jack was a retired Air Force Veteran and served in the Korean war.  He also was employed by the Post Office as a mail carrier.  After retirement, Jack became an avid buyer and seller of various goods and frequented auctions. He was often referred to as the “Junk Man” and often sold at Weatherford trade days.

 

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Peggy who took care of him through his illness.  Jack and Peggy were married for 15 years.  He is also survived by his 4 children and 2 step children.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters.
