James C. Lawhorn, 73, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, in Granbury.
Graveside service: 12:00 p.m. noon Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at Catherdral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.
James was born Mar. 7, 1941, in Paris, Texas, to Gene and Lyda Murphy Lawhorn. He married Dolores Britton Flynn, Oct. 11, 1997, in Granbury. He had lived in Granbury since 1997 and had been bedridden at home for 8 years after suffering a stroke. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Waco and the Shriners in Tyler, Texas. James was outgoing. He loved to go on cruises and enjoyed anything nautical.
Survivors: Wife, Dolores Flynn Lawhorn of DeCordova; sons, James C. Lawhorn, Jr. of McKinney, Tab Lawhorn and wife, Zoe, of Tyler, Bryan Flynn and wife, Charlotte, of Arlington, Bradford Flynn and wife, Jennifer, of Grand Prairie; daughter, Dena Williams and husband, Billy, of Granbury; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
