Brother J L Shawver and wife Azalea were great friends. For many years, and until the time of his homegoing, J L was a generous supporter of Heart Ministries and Victory Village Christian Academy, Hutchinson, Kansas. We first met JL through our radio broadcast over KSKY Radio, when he was still owner of the Ft. Worth Auto Auction. We were guests in their home many times, staying overnight on a number of occasions, the last time being a little over a year ago, and J L drove us to a restaurant for supper. J L and Azalea were always super hospitable in inviting us to their home, sometimes when we had over 20 of our students along on tours, and they provided food and lodging for us all. We will never forget Azalea's delicious chocolate cakes. When one of our daughters, who was a student at Baylor at the time, had car trouble, J L went to the rescue, driving many miles and took care of problem. We will be eternally grateful for the love and hospitality that was shown over the years, and for the generous support that was given to our ministry. May God bless their family and all of their many loved ones, and we will be forever grateful for all they did for us.
