James Milton Clark, born October 17, 1948 on his Mom’s 21st birthday in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from St. Thomas High School, in Houston 1966. In 1969, he joined the US Naval Reserves. He lived most of his life in the North Central Texas area.
Jim was an all-around kind of guy, he was loved by his patients during his time as a Registered Nurse. He worked in hospitals, doctors’ offices, and as a home health nurse. He had many passions. He was an amateur HAMM radio operator for many years, he started with his first call sign as WD5HMM later changing it to N5QL.
He was an avid cyclist for many years before his diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis made it hard for him to continue. Still he would watch the Tour de France to live vicariously through the riders on screen.
Jim was good man who could love big and argue just as big. He always had jokes and charms up his sleeve. We will miss him very much. He had such a big personality that can never be replaced.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Milton D. Clark and Dolores R. Clark.
He is survived by his 4 siblings: Cathy Stamey, Steven Clark, Milton Clark, and Lisa Cowart. His children: Robert Clark, Robin Clark, Jennifer Green, Rusty Clark, and bonus daughter Leslie Ingram. Jim was a grandfather to Kelsay, Bliss, Sebastian, Kolton, Zenith, and bonus granddaughter Jordan.
We plan on having a small family memorial sometime this summer when family from out of the continental U.S. can be here. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
