Jean Hall passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 in Granbury. Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Acton United Methodist Church, with burial immediately following at Holly Hills Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at Wiley Funeral Home.
Jean was born in East Texas and was raised on the family farm during the Great Depression. The family moved to Houston where her dad was employed by the WPA. While in Houston, she met the love of her life, John Keith Hall from Manhattan, KS. They were married after his service in WWII, September 5, 1942 at the Second Baptist Church of Houston. They raised two daughters and were very active in their church, where they accepted Christ as their Savior and witnessed to others.
The family moved to Oklahoma City when John accepted a job at FAA. In Oklahoma City, they added a son to their family. Jean owned and operated a Wedding Catering business for several years. She was an avid gardener. Jean loved antiques and won many blue ribbons at the State Fair. After retirement they moved back to her beloved State of Texas where they joined Acton United Methodist Church. Together, they loved to travel and they saw the United States and the world. John preceded her in death, August 27, 2001. Jean’s greatest love was her love for The Lord, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors: daughters, Pamela Grammar and husband Robert of Edmond, OK, Deborah Madison of Arlington; son, John Keith Hall, JR. and wife Susan of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren Kristin L. Stefanelli of Auburn, CA, Michael J. Grammar and wife Kim of Edmond, OK, John Eric Madison of Arlington, John Keith Hall, III and James Ashenhurst of San Jose, CA, Andrew Spencer Hall of Austin, TX; great grandchildren Lauren Lynn Stefanelli, Pierceston Chance Hunter Grammar; sister Billie Ann Coleman and husband J. W. of Waxahachie, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and friends who loved her.
