Jenny was born in Chula Vista, California, to William and Joan Brents, and was raised in National City, California. She was a 1979 graduate from Sweetwater High School.
Jenny married the love of her life, Edgar Carter Hines Jr, on April 7, 1979. A military wife, she had the pleasure of living in multiple states and countries with her husband, eventually calling Fort Worth, Texas home. Jenny retired after working as a teaching assistant with White Settlement ISD for 24 years.
Jenny loved her family dearly and loved to scrapbook and travel. One of her most treasured past times were the trips she had taken with her children and grandchildren, and she was looking forward to so many more.
And she loved Jesus. She embodied the love of Jesus every day to everyone who had the honor to know her. Jenny was patient. She was kind. She did not boast and was not self-seeking. She always hoped, always persevered, and never gave up on someone. Jenny will be truly and deeply missed.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Edgar (Ed) Hines and her children: daughter, Stephanie Behrens, son-in-law, Josh Behrens, and son, Nathaniel Hines, and her grandchildren: Melissa, Maysen, Mariah, Farrah, Gabriel, Ryann, and Ian, her sister, Rebecca Peppers, and her brother, Philip Brents.
For those who wish to send flowers, they can be sent to Biggers Funeral Home.
Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation in her honor can direct it to the Ronald McDonald House, Donate – Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (rmhdallas.org) for her fight with cancer and her great nephew who has also been fighting cancer.
