Jerry Winston Dempsey, 79, passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 in Azle. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday, October 02, 2017 in Post Oak Cemetery.
Jerry was born Sept. 20, 1938 in Bosque County to George Winston and Marquerite Rice Dempsey. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a machinist. He was a member of Agnes Baptist Church. Jerry was a charmer who never met a stranger. He was a hard worker, a good provider, loved everyone and had a heart as big as Texas. He was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter, Amanda.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Dempsey; daughter, Michelle Brock and husband, Paul Dudley of Azle; sons, Jerry Winston Dempsey Jr. and wife, Christina of Haltom City and Keith Dewain Dempsey and wife, Crystal of Perryton; mother, Marquerite Dempsey; brothers, Marlon Oscar, Larry George, Gary Warren and Ronald Lynn Dempsey; grandchildren, Rebecca, Clint, Whitney, Jeremiah, Andres, David and Christopher; great grandchildren, Kevin, Nathan, Saleen and Riley; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
